Maybe I am getting old, but if I see "I made HN for X" I am expecting to see the exact design of HN...
- prh8 6y agoAt a minimum I'd hope for a copy plus fixing the issues. But I like seeing it tailored a little more towards the target audience.
- millzlane 6y agoIt's not just you. I must be old too.
- systemvoltage 6y agoWe need to own this and say HN design is far superior vast majority of web design out there. It has nothing to do with us getting old and it only gives excuses to people to not be inspired by it.
- travoc 6y agoDoes the back button in the iOS app eventually float off the screen and become unusable? If so, I’m in.
- weird-eye-issue 6y agoComing from Android... You guys still have back buttons? I just swipe from the edge of my screen to go forward/back from anywhere
- ibraheemdev 6y agoI think iOS has the forward/back gestures too.
- iab 6y agoStochastic UI/UX is all the rage nowadays
- darkteflon 6y agoThat is such a great term. Instantly communicates what you’re talking about and how frustrating it is. Yoink, I’ll definitely be borrowing that. Thanks!
- cmeacham98 6y agoI consider myself fairly young (only a few years out of college), and I'd definitely expect the same or very similar design.
- dragonwriter 6y agoAt a minimum, I’d expect a similar design aesthetic, rather than obtrusive JS, email harvesting, and a need for a tailored marketing cookie warning.
