Tech censorship is very very real.

- sneak 6y agoThis site seems like partisan agitprop. I agree that tech censorship is a problem, but it's a problem for humans, not just the american right-wing.
- kokanator 6y agoCompletely agree. Simply pointing to someone actually tracking censorship activities. It would be nice to see an inclusive set so we the humans could make our own decisions.
- throwawaysea 6y agoIt is a problem for everyone. Unfortunately just like censorship and political repression was used by the right in the past when they were dominant (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCarthyism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCarthyism) it is now used by the left. There are almost no organizations standing up for those civil liberties now. The ACLU is abandoning this mission (https://reason.com/2018/06/21/aclu-leaked-memo-free-speech/ https://reason.com/2018/06/21/aclu-leaked-memo-free-speech/) as they have become explicitly leftist rather than neutrally focused on fundamental civil liberties, so new institutions are needed. Right now, the side with the most motivation to champion this cause is the American right, which I think is why we're seeing sites like this.
