Well this is cheating, but I stopped working for Microsoft :). I actually still quite like .NET on the whole. But the job I took after Microsoft had me writing Rust and Go. I should note the list is in no particular order. If it were ordered newest to oldest, it’d be: - Go - Rust - F# - C# - Ocaml - D - Pascal Languages I’ve used heavily but wouldn’t for prototyping are C and C++. Most of my time at Microsoft was 67-75% C/C++ and the rest some form of .NET.
