What's interesting about this is the fact that the rivals in question have satellite fleets barely comparable to Starlink. Their individual satellites aren't as capable and they require much more expensive launch vehicles to put into orbit. It seems to me that this is a ploy to hinder SpaceX because it's nearly impossible for those other companies to compete.
