- toast0 6y agoI doubt the numbers are anywhere close, but if a coal plant and a wind plant cost the same to build, produce the same power output, and use the same footprint, there's almost no reason someone would build a coal plant unless there was coal someone was paying to get rid of. Assuming you've got some wind to harvest anyway. I'm not sure what kind of sources you're looking for, with such an unbounded hypothetical.
