Oddly enough, I did the same thing with my Es when I was first learning to write my letters. I didn't have a special name for them, though.

Oddly enough, I did the same thing with my Es when I was first learning to write my letters. I didn't have a special name for them, though.
- LanceH 5y agoMy daughter, whose first name began with an E also did this. We called it a super 'e' and absolutely didn't correct her.

- TeMPOraL 5y agoI think children instinctively understand the zero-one-many rule :).
- drewzero1 5y agoI did this as well when I was little, and I distinctly remember thinking that if one rung on an E was good, more must be better. My kindergarten signature is still faintly legible on my library card, and contains a four-runged E (I was very proud of making it fit in the small space provided). I don't remember for sure, but I think I thought of it as an EEEEEEEE.
