I think it might make sense to also ask "how long an average developer stays at the company?". This reveals quite a bit; most developers usually leave because there's a better offer on the table, so if developers don't stay long it usually indicates that the company doesn't want to pay their people more. Add to that "How much time do you allow for knowledge work without interruptions per day?", and I might just have all I'd need to figure out if I'd actually like to work at a place.
