11th Circuit Says Grocery Store Website Isn’t Covered by the ADA
- salawat 6y agoIn answer to the question posed at the end, >Winn-Dixie states it would have cost 250k to revamp the website, and more than 250k was spent on lawyers here... Why not just revamp the website? Like diamonds, precedent...is forever. There's one major screen reader now, what about everyone else using a different one in the future? The costs compound. From a business centric point of view, this is an absolutely worthwhile investment until the Supreme Court renders a judgement on it. As one of the people frequently tasked with proving ADA compliance, I know how this type of thing tends to go. Accessibility is always last on everybody's priority list, which is why I make it first on mine. I've used JAWS... I know the pain.
