Modem Gateway Access Impossible
Hello, I am trying to access my router. I did a factory reset, which worked, but the default user pass is not working at all. The modem is an Arris DG860P2. Default is admin / password. Not working. Is cracking it my only alternative?
- ev1 6y agoModem or router? Most cable modems you are not permitted to access the admin page for any reason, or they will remotely lock out after plugged in. Only for "technician use".
- needsumhelp 6y agoThank you, this may be the reason. I am not sure of the difference between modem and router, I will unplug and try!
- needsumhelp 6y agoI tried unplugging the network cable from the modem, and then when I enter the gateway IP via WiFi it solves 404. Any idea?
