- Search & discovery
- gitgud 5y agoWhat do you mean by "Web browsing as trails"?
- prakharshivam 5y agoGenerally, there’s no visual relationship shown in browsing history. Imagine if browsing history is visualised as non-linear tree with multiple branches.
- yen223 5y agoI feel this is one of those ideas which is hard to appreciate unless we have a working prototype to play with.
- prakharshivam 5y agoWorking on the prototype. Just wanted to get thoughts on whether this is something people want or not.
- xkeysc0re 5y agoCheck out WikiMapper https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wikimapper/feiheebgoilmbkaddngcoocjbogfchlb?hl=en https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wikimapper/feiheeb... I would love something like this for my other web browsing as well. It would be very cool to be able to trace the path of links clicked from webpages.
- prakharshivam 5y agoDo you think it will solve the problem of getting lost in multiple open tabs?
- xkeysc0re 5y agoI honestly see it more as a research tool and being able to trace your history more contextually than just by date accessed.
- prakharshivam 5y agoMy vision is to build Product Hunt for browsing trails.
- d--b 5y agoIf it existed as a 1st class feature in Chrome, I’d probably use it. I would not install this as an extension though, let alone pay for it.
- prakharshivam 5y agoWhat if there’s a possibility to see web content curation as browser trails of other people as well?
- d--b 5y agoNo that I definitely wouldnt use.
