Genuine question: why are we going back to the moon? Is it really the best way to use public money? What are the gains?
- fastball 5y agoSpace has limitless potential and moon is the obvious place to start if you're serious about reaching for the stars. Some would argue that Mars is a better first step, but either way the idea is the same.
- tim333 5y agoIt's not a huge amount of public money here $2.9bn and it helps develop the Starship rocket which has a lot of potential applications.
- aeternum 5y agoHumans will go extinct if we do not leave the earth, if not by an asteroid then it is guaranteed that the sun will eventually expand and burn up the earth. The survival of humanity depends on figuring this out, why put it off?
