Everyone thinks Elon was pumping Doge as he keeps saying Doge is going to the moon soon, he was, but this is what he was really talking about the entire time.
- schoen 5y agoI wonder if he will actually put some kind of cryptocurrency mascot aboard a lunar mission as a kind of follow-up to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elon_Musk%27s_Tesla_Roadster https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elon_Musk%27s_Tesla_Roadster
- cwkoss 5y agoHe should fire an array of hundreds of impact resistant dogecoin cold wallets (maybe privkeys engraved in metal plates then surrounded by a balloon or similar) from lunar orbit to scatter bounties to explore the moon all over the surface. Put $1000 in each of them - if dogecoin price goes to the moon it could partially fund future lunar exploration missions.
- throwaway_isms 5y agoConcurred! As we release extraordinary amounts of CO2 supporting cryptocurrency, we must consider the moon just watching us from afar feeling left out and begin missions to the moon to scatter garbage across the face of it, simultaneously the politicians can take credit for investing in future jobs for janitors to go to the moon and clean it all up.
- orblivion 5y agoCreate maps for future space pirates.
- nickik 5y agoDon't for a second think that Doge to the moon was not literal. This is his whole thing, 'say crazy stuff on twitter', actually do it.
- jxidjhdhdhdhfhf 5y agoWould be quite trivial if they actually land on the moon. All you need is a USB drive or maybe one of those physical tokens they have for bitcoin.
- senectus1 5y agoyes, as soon as I saw the Doge jump after the nasa announcment I thought "that sneaky bastard was telegraphing the nasa contract win this whole time"
- garmaine 5y agoHe wouldn't have had advance knowledge.
- senectus1 5y agoHe would have known more than most others...
- garmaine 5y agoNo, he wouldn’t. It would have been a severe (criminal) breach of government procurement processes. Unlike most people commenting in this thread, I’ve actually applied for (and won) NASA contracts. He could have had same-day notice, but that’s it.
