You can polyfill this using https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/WeakMap https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Refe... -- you "brand" your objects by stashing references to them in WeakMaps, and hide the WeakMap using a closure.
