Does any company rely on the internet to run a national power grid or other non-internet utilities? If they do, they're idiots. Use packet based control systems, but not the internet. There are some idiots, like life support systems using Amazon cloud. If facebook and twitter break, it won't bring down banks, governments or corps, it'll just bring down facebook inc. and twitter inc. This is y2k level hysteria.
