Is this artificial scarcity? Are the automakers blaming a chip shortage to cover for low demand? Has the world turned to FOMO as the next big marketing paradigm? Can we pull demand forward by creating a "shortage"? Perhaps I should be in the looney bin, but I don't like the smell of all these "shortages"... they reek of manipulation and greed.
