Does anyone else hate the interface for podcasts in Spotify? I rarely mix podcasts and music so it just doesn’t make sense having them both mixed up in a single app.

- jasode 6y ago>, but considering all of the other episodes Spotify has removed I don’t think so. No, in this case, Spotify's exclusive contract is not relevant because "episode #127" is Lex Fridman's content/channel and not Joe Rogan's. Same situation as Joe Rogan being on other shows like these: - Dan Patrick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYnGfVOSLw0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYnGfVOSLw0 - Ana Kasparian : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrpa6nnG7QE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrpa6nnG7QE Joe Rogan's exclusive deal with Spotify can't remove those from Youtube because Joe doesn't have rights to others' shows. A possible confusion is that Lex interviewed Joe at Joe's studio so it might look like Joe's show when it was actually Lex's. I think Lex went to Austin and Joe interviewed him for an hour for The Joe Rogan Experience and when that was done, they just stayed put and Lex then interviewed Joe for an hour for Lex's podcast. (Based on the Youtube "video unavailable" notice for Episode #127, it looks like Superbam Inc is the entity that falsely issued a copyright takedown. https://superbam.com/ https://superbam.com/)
- willio58 6y agoWhoops, you're right. I missed the detail that this was on Lex's podcast, not Joe's.
- danjac 6y agoSame. Although I have a Spotify account, if a podcast moves exclusively to Spotify (e.g. Rogan or Last Podcast on the Left) I pretty much stop listening to it.
- busterarm 6y agoI've always though Spotify has a shoddy product in general. I resubscribed briefly when JRE moved over but that lasted days at most. Right back to deactivated. Now I just don't listen to JRE anymore.
