  Because a couple of years ago, showing a couple of non-invasive ads was a good enough business for everyone. Now I have to pay for content, my data gets collected and sold, and I get personalized ads LOL Maybe it's because the move into the public cloud is more costly and decision makers are incapable to admit they made a mistake.
