I agree the social aspect is what makes Twitter appealing. Twitter combines microblogging with a feed reader.
If you’re interested in a simple RSS reader + blogging, check out <https://yunaru.com/ https://yunaru.com/>.
It provides a minimal Twitter-like feed (no unread counts), and another view displaying only the most recent entry for each feed.
- hopesthoughts 6y agoRight now I'm using a Miniflux instance, but I'd like to try out the blog features, could I?
- alexmingoia 6y agoYeah, blogging is free. Just click the pencil icon and start writing. Yunaru is still new, so let me know if you run into issues or have feedback. There’s a GitHub link in the footer, so feel free to open an issue.
- hopesthoughts 6y agoOK coolness, will do!
- hopesthoughts 6y agoI mean, could I send something from Miniflux to there somehow, is there a bookmarklet and/or extension?
- alexmingoia 6y agoThere’s no import feature or bookmarklet yet, but that’s a good idea. Right now, following is as simple as making a POST to /followings with url=<url> body and a session cookie. So it shouldn’t be too hard to make a bookmarklet.
- hopesthoughts 6y agoOh cool, that way I could send stuff from my various linkholes.
