Interesting app. How are sources categorized/ranked?
- gnicholas 5y agoThis was a Kickstarter, and the backers voted on which news sources to include and how they should be ranked. I’ve added more sources over time and slotted then in myself. I don’t get many complaints, interestingly.
- yosito 5y agoVery cool app. Have you seen Ground News? They do something similar but the have some external sources for classifying the bias of the news sources.
- gnicholas 5y agoI think I have heard of them. I would have done more complex things around bias classification if people had asked for it, but surprisingly there weren't many requests. Ultimately though, it becomes a question of who selects the external classifying sources, so the app dev is still in control at the end of the day.
