I've never heard anyone, ever describe the EU as pro-business.

  Left-wing eurosceptics try to present the EU as being pro-business (and anti-worker), while right-wing eurosceptics believe the EU is anti-business with all its regulations affecting companies. It's technically possible that both sides are right in their criticism, but the fact that neither side seems to acknowledge the other suggests that both aren't seeing the full picture.
