That is incorrect. GDP is typically calculated using an expenditure approach. Just transferring 185MM would not impact GDP.

- rchaud 5y agoGDP can also be calculated using the income approach, since conceptually they both add up to the same amount. In either case, it is still a highly misleading proxy measure for economic development and well-being.
