- Tagbert 5y agoBiology, biology, biology! As long as we keep a large population of unvaccinated people we are going to get more variants. If we can get the vaccination rate up, the space for variants is restricted and we will not need new vaccines.

- ipsocannibal 5y agoI don't see this being any different from any other highly mutative Zoonotic disease, e.g. influenza, with a large natural reservoir. We can't eradicate Covid-19 through human vaccinations and we know that new strains with new properties will arrise. Yes this makes Pfizer money but as mRNA vaccine production technology matures the cost of the vaccine will drop.
- jimmont 5y agoIf it costs less than or equal to $10USD and works I'm all good with it. Please also include the common flu-types, HepC, HIV, etc at the same price point as well. We can move on to other things and ideally all be a little more productive with these strategies becoming more in line with going through a McDonalds drive-through.
