It’s also interesting to see just how wrong he was in many ways about BitCoin and the future. In 2012 he’s talking about changes on 5-10 years that really haven’t manifested. It’s not that they won’t eventually happen, but we often miss where the change will occur. In the last 10 years, the only material change has been adding the mobile payment layer on top of the existing infrastructure (I.e. ApplePay). We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten. -Bill Gates-
