Golly. I wonder how Republicans would respond the next time they're in power?
- water8 6y agoThey wont be ever again once either voterID is banned or undocumented citizens are allowed to vote
- toyg 6y agoThat’s kinda racist. Believe it or not, a lot of people from ethnic minorities actually vote Republican.
- uvnq 6y agoIt isn't racist; the above commenter never mentioned race. Who are undocumented immigrants going to vote for (if allowed), people who campaign on giving them things or people who don't?
- toyg 6y agoIf they can vote, they already won the issues of rights, from which a lot of stuff automatically derives (welfare etc). Realistically, on a wide range of issues (taxation, gender rights, abortion, religious topics), a lot of minority members actually skew hard-right. Once (if) the "undocumented" issue is solved, I expect we will likely see a pretty big realignment in US politics. Which is why it's particularly braindead from Republicans to die on that hill, they don't realize there are massive gains for the taking.
- Traster 6y agoIsn't this kind of circular logic? This is the Democratic response to the Republicans changing the size of the court in 2016.
- nieksand 6y agoFrom the article: "The size of the Supreme Court, which has fluctuated since it was established in 1789, has remained at nine since 1869."
- Traster 6y agoBetween March of 2016 and April of 2017 the United States Supreme court had 8 Justices.
- busymom0 6y agoThe size of court hasn’t changed in 150 years. What are you talking about?
