- croon 6y agoYour explanation hinges on that journalists in China, Russia, North Korea, etc are stupid, and none in western nations are. Even if the simple explanation is that it's not a concept that occurs. And no, Julian Assange isn't a journalist, nor was he jailed for journalism. I applaud some of the things he did, and I don't agree with all legislation, but he clearly broke the law (regardless of how we feel about the greater good).
