Nobody is talking about sales pitches - the FTC in the USA also has a do not call list. This is about scam callers that set up pop up operations make a few bucks close down and repeat. This happens just as much here in the EU. Most of these calls do not even come from the EU/USA though they do have operatives here. The vast majority of victims are older people that don’t understand they are being scammed.
