I feel like the headline implies a false causation. Dave wasn't unemployable because his startup failed. (In fact, he was never unemployable at all.) But he does seem to have found that there are many kinds of work in tech that he doesn't enjoy or wish to pursue. That's also respectable, but less dramatic.
