Well I would say it’s very hard to win a debate against ideology and ignorance ... ever tried debating someone on a street corner about the veracity of the bible? For example I think this is one of the best debates and even though plenty of Austrian economics fans have seen it, they think Murphy “wins”. MMT economists regularly “win” debates based on facts, but the real game is winning hearts and minds and that takes longer.
