I had a major falling out with my family over this, but California's not getting any better. I've been able to pay off about $25,000 in credit card debt simply by moving out of California and increasing my income slightly. My rents cheaper and I don't need a car. Almost every single state in America is better for normal people! I guess if you need to live in silicon valley to raise venture capital this doesn't apply to you
