Ask HN: Working with MBA Partners

HNers who have worked with MBA partners on a startup: was it a good fit, did the skillset apply well? I've heard some mixed opinions. I was also told that 2nd year MBA students sometimes work on startups part-time and take advantage of some of the startup resources provided by the university (tech clubs, etc). I know a lot of the standard startup advice is to go at it full time, so how do these student-launched startups tend to fare? I'm curious because I'm currently working on networking with potential future partners and I want to focus on the right types of people.
