What's the story here? Is discharging this water safe or not?

How exactly?
Without clarifying the science, this article is tantamount to ecological scaremongering.
- wccrawford 6y agoNon-scaremongering articles don't get clicks and shares, so you'll rarely see them unless you follow the newsfeeds directly. If you use an aggregator, like HN, you will very rarely see them. Other comments here have already detailed how safe it is, both in this post and the previous one.
