VS Code now has a "Remote SSH" plugin which installs the editor and all of its plugins on a remote server with one command, giving you an editor and file browser on that server almost instantly
- CoastalCoder 6y agoI was never able to get VS Code's Remote SSH functionality to work. IIRC the server-side code indexing hung indefinitely. I'm still curious what was special about my environment, since it seems to work for most people.
