Not at all. If your opinions are correct, and yet they hurt someone, do you need to apologise? Or maybe you think that it's impossible for a correct or reasonable opinion to hurt others? Because in that case I have tons of counterexamples. A lot of people were offended by the theory that man descended from apes. Do you think Darwin should have apologised?
