After a decade of legal battles, N. San Jose housing construction may resume
- spacedcowboy 6y agoI would be happier about San Jose’s developments in general if the policy was more than “build dwellings”. There is never a commitment by the council or the developers who get the multi-billion dollar contracts to ... - build better infrastructure to cope with thenicreased traffic - add more schools - add more green/open space - etc. etc. All we get is ever-denser apartments, the developer pays fines for not doing any of the above as a cost of doing business, lather, rinse, repeat. I’ve been to one of the meetings they held for building what was sold as an 8-story apartment block where the rest of the housing around is 2-story. “Approval has already been granted”, “So why are we here ?” “We’re informing you ahead of time as we are obliged to do”. “Gee. Thanks”
