Ask HN: Favourite Kitchen Gadget?
- ggm 6y agoYou presumably exclude non gadgets like the really sharp knife? I'm rather fond of a broken garlic press we keep because it has a cherry stone pitter in the handle. We stone olives with it mostly. Our potato ricer gets a lot of work. The magimix less, but for making a lot of mirpoix in a hurry, or pizza dough, or blitzing herbs for salsa verde its hard to go past. The blender gets most work. Hummus. But really? The $26 salad spinner. Major upsides to clean dry salad leaves and herbs.
- rory_isAdonk 6y agoso many of these are new to me. the potato ricer has my Irish mind confused.
- barbe 6y agoA just discovered Copper Chef $13.63 skillet, eggs, even melted cheese, slide out of it.q
- ksaj 6y agoFavourite low-tech gadget(s): hand coffee grinder, especially paired with one of our many different similarly low-tech coffee brewing devices. Favourite electric gadget: Insta-Pot, because it can do just about everything.
