Paul Theroux is one of those writers who has faded in and out of my life over the years but one I always thoroughly enjoy returning to.
His writing is like catching up with an old friend who never begrudges the years when you didn't call or write and within 10 minutes, it's like you were never apart.
- pseudolus 6y agoBoth his works of fiction and travel writing are thoroughly enjoyable and, unlike many other writers, he's shown an ability to evolve with the time. If you enjoy his fiction writing I would also recommend some of the works of his son, Marcel Theroux, who's quite talented as well.
- cafard 5y agoHis brother Alexander Theroux is quite a good writer also.
