This is precisely why I get nervous about offering to speak at professional groups / conferences. When I see a CFP or similar, everything cool that I do seems obvious and I don't think it'll be useful. But then I get into conversations with my peers and realize that some of the stuff I do apparently isn't as obvious to everyone as I'd thought.
