Wow. Philosophical question does not mean desire to discuss Socrates vs Confucius and how different genders would be compatible of that. It's about deeper, more open ended questions usually acting as ice breakers to understand their experience better and to steer into follow-up discussions and into more casual conversation. This will naturally lead to opening up more and revealing more about themselves. It's not the ability to answer the question, it's what the answer might be that potentially reveals any such bias. And yes, you will need to counter your own biases for this, but so will any interview format unless you are a robot.
