Microshift is Taiwanese, not Chinese. Which also makes sense because the great majority of bicycle components are manufactured in Taiwan (also including Shimano components). There are also some other high end companies like Rohloff and Pinion.

I didn't know that about Microshift. I thought they were avoiding patent infringement suits, but maybe not! Also Rotor has their hydraulic groupset and FSA an electronic one.
