- timonoko 6y agoYou cannot find reasonable explanation of the gear system anywhere. Just "horseshoe magnets" and other clueless gibberish. What is that "speed adjusting" can by the engine? Variable transformer? What is that big "resistor" by the gear? Another transformer? Looks to me even that the generator and the electric motor are mechanically connected and you control the gear and clutch by adjusting the magnetic field. But that is crazy and absolute opposite what Jay Leno and Wikipedia is saying. This is not a "hybrid" car. This is a "normal" car with a magnetic gearbox.
