  That's unsubstantiated, as we have at least second-hand evidence of people getting harassed over using the name Coq, while we don't have evidence for something similar for git. And if you were really affected by the word git, you would understand the issue of the Coq developers. Since you feigned ignorance in your first response, we can conclude, you're just arguing in bad faith. You should really start to regard other people's feelings as something not necessary to be hurt, if it could easily be avoided.
