Clothing, How Did They Make It? Part IVb: Cloth Money
- acheron 6y agoThis is a great blog, and if you find it interesting it's certainly worth reading regularly. I don't think each post needs to end up on the front page of HN every week.
- ryanianian 6y agoFrom the HN guidelines: > On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity. I was intrigued by the title, and the article was worth a read. It didn't make it less interesting to know that the site is a regular feature here.
- setr 6y agoIn fact, knowing that it’s a regular contender implies it’s a consistently solid blog — enhancing its value. Especially given the topic can’t possibly be driven by flavor-of-the-month trends — no one ever accused HN of being textile-construction nerds
- gibspaulding 6y agoI found this blog through HN a while back, and it's been interesting seeing it grow in popularity. I can't think of much else that as reliably ends up on the front page! It's a bit redundant seeing every post, but the discussion does tend to be interesting, so I still enjoy seeing them here.
- alexpetralia 6y agoMe too, I love the blog, but I don't think I've seen any writer more consistently reach the front page. Feels like some sort of hack (I am not insulating any type of unfair play here.)
- TheCoelacanth 6y agoI don't think I've seen any blogs produce such consistently good content recently. (No insult intended to any other blog writers. I'm not aware of all blogs, and would love to hear about more with this level of quality.)
- blue_box 6y agoI really like this series but I can’t read very long articles on normal screens. I hope the author publishes them as a book so I can read them on my Kindle.
- Causality1 6y agoMy favorite way to consume them is to use Google Assistant's "read aloud" command. The voice is cloud-generated and orders of magnitude better than android's text to speech voice.
