I sometimes wonder if we're destined for a world where software companies decide they should employ QA staff. Or if we're destined for a world where the majority of QA gets oursourced to competitions.
- dreamcompiler 6y agoSoftware companies used to have QA staff. But developers said "we can write our own tests and you can get rid of those expensive QA people who we hate" and here we are, in the land of forever-crappy software. It's our own damn fault for becoming over-reliant on CI to find all the bugs.
- Oddskar 6y agoI squarely put this in the same compartment as "my code is self documenting". I've only seen management and devs who are less than stellar argue against having QAs.
