This is an actual honest question; why is this on hacker news?

- s_dev 6y agoHacker News is a forum for anything of interest to nerds. It doesn't have to be technical or scientific or academic. The death of a royal may be of interest to nerds.

- 74d-fe6-2c6 6y agoBecause HN is going yellow press ... I mean there are all the time debates about what belongs here and what not. Bottom up - if something reaches the front page it belongs here. Top down - this definitely does not belong here. It's simply irrelevant. You say because he did something with computers once - great - then we'll have obituaries about every body soon on here.
