Windows user, still using hibernation. My corpo-Dell has abysmal battery and I definitely don't want to not-hibernate it, nor restart all programs, browsers, terminals etc each time. It works mostly well. Once every few years I come across some weird issue happening with software X which over time I figure out is linked to software X not handling dehibernation well, but the pros outweigh the cons.
