A few lines seem to apply. Specifically:
> When disagreeing, please reply to the argument instead of calling names. "That is idiotic; 1 + 1 is 2, not 3" can be shortened to "1 + 1 is 2, not 3."
- meowster 6y agoThank you. I thought I was replying to the arguement set forth by the person I was replying to, but I guess that's not what is meant. Perhaps it means respond to the facts of the content and not how it was delivered? If that's the case, I think the rules should be clarified? @dang I thought that being critical of one's opinion was not appropriate, so I was calling it out with my original comment. I guess I should have just flagged and moved on. It seems a shame though to not give the responder a chance to learn and grow though. That's why I asked for feedback, so that I could learn and grow. I think that's what many of us want from this website in addition to just otherwise boring tech news? Edit: A Downvote don't tell me how I was/am wrong. I'm not mad about it, I just want to know why, otherwise the vote is meaningless to me.
