RobinHood doesn't allow transferring coins in or out. It only allows buying and selling.
I don't even know if there are any actual underlying coins at all anywhere in the system. For smaller coins in particular, does this mean that in theory there could be more coins traded than existing supply?
Without transferring in or out, RobinHood encourages pure speculation and doesn't allow the investors to even try and pay for something in crypto even for the fun of it.
Crypto would have never reached to where it is today if all the exchanges where like RobinHood. A big part of why crypto succeeded early on was The Silk Road (check the billions in traded and seized assets) and all of its descendants (dark.fail).
Sadly, WA and NY started cracking down on having real crypto and many exchanges (looking at you, Kraken and LocalBitcoins) are turning into the RH model.
