Hibernate IS great, IMO. It saves massive battery life, nobody cares about the hiberfile size with large disks, and for me it’s often more reliable than S3 sleep. Sleep may run out of battery and I lose everything open. Sleep may not power back up correctly and I lose everything open. I only use sleep mode for short trips between locations, with car rides or walking to another office. But overnight? Hibernate or shutdown for me.
