I don’t the the BDSM connotation is the main issue. It’s a slur for “disabled person”.
- anthk 6y agoLiterally the 90% of the world is not aware of that context and if they are tech savy they'll know Gimp as the graphics editor and nothing more.
- Ancapistani 6y agoI don’t think either of us have solid evidence of how widespread the term is, but intuitively I would expect it to be much more than 10% of native English-speakers.
