A few years ago people thought Netflix was going t be the Spotify of Video. That turned out quite different though.
Especially now that Disney has multiple streaming services a lot of the biggest movies won't ever come to competing platforms (Lucasfilm, Marvel, 21st Century Fox). In 2019 7 of the 10 highest grossing films were from Disney studios and they're all still exclusive to Disney+.
- jfengel 6y agoNote that they're not using the "Fox" or "21st century" names any more. The various pieces are using versions of the original historical name "Twentieth Century Pictures", before they took over Fox Films and merged their name in.
